Championing the Industry to facilitate change
- Industry Voice
PIMFA’s role is to help policymakers understand the financial advice and personal investment management industry and take steps to improve the operating environment to the benefit of firms and customers. We are resolutely focused on the issues our members tell us matter most to them and are recognised by government and regulators as the industry’s voice which we use to promote and defend the interests of the sector.
- Behind the Scenes
What does not get seen publicly can frequently have as significant an impact as our higher profile work.
The long process of building relationships and raising the industry’s profile while shaping policy is an unending task, often requiring the team to work hard to prevent certain policies/amendments from ever seeing the light of day.
- Continued Support
In addition to our active advocacy efforts on behalf of the industry, we help with members’ technical queries. These cover a broad range of topics, sometimes pursuing answers by asking questions of regulator, government, and other key stakeholders on a anonymised basis to assist firms in addressing specific issues or to clarify the practical application of the rules.
